Refreshing Soda Pop
One glass of sparkling water, several ice cubes
and three drops of CandyS. Your kids, spouses and guests will
think
they are drinking a soda, instead of a non fattening refreshing drink.
For a special touch add a fresh mint leaf!!
Banana Nut Bread
Blend one half teaspoon each of salt and baking soda with one teaspoon baking
powder with one and ¾ cups of sifted all purpose flour. Blend one third cup of
oil with two eggs, four ripe bananas and one sixth to one fifth of a bottle of
CandyS. Mix the above two blends together into a nice even dough type paste.
Then add some crushed walnuts, about a quarter cup into the mix. Pour into a
well greased baking pan and bake at 350 degrees F for about 40-45 minutes.
Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Blend one cup shortening or oil with two eggs, half cup of buttermilk and one
third to one half bottle of CandyS until light and fluffy. Mix one and ¾ cups of
all sifted flour with one teaspoon of baking soda, one teaspoon of salt, one
teaspoon of baking powder, one teaspoon of cinnamon, one teaspoon of nutmeg,
three cups of quick cooking rolled oats, half a cup of raisins and a half cup of
chopped walnuts. Mix the above two batches and then drop two inches apart one
tablespoon of the mix on greased cookie sheets at 400 degrees F for eight
minutes. Remove and let cool slightly before transporting. This will yield
approximately sixty cookies.
Bread Pudding
Mix two and a quarter cups milk with two eggs and pour over two cups one inch
cubed one day old bread. Add one fifth of a bottle of CandyS, half a teaspoon of
cinnamon, one teaspoon of vanilla, one quarter teaspoon of salt, half cup of
raisins to the mix. Place this in a shallow pan and pour hot water around it to
about an inch high. Bake for approximately 45 minutes at 350 F degrees.
Cranberry-Orange Muffins
Mix one cup of fresh cranberries with one fifth a bottle of CandyS and a
teaspoon of grated orange peel. Blend one beaten egg with one sixth of a bottle
of CandyS, half a cup of orange juice and two tablespoons of salad oil and mix
in with two cups of packaged biscuit mix until moistened. Fold in the cranberry
mix. Fill in greased muffin pans two thirds full and bake at 400 F degrees for
about twenty five minutes. This yields about a dozen muffins.
